Obituary for Merl Grogan
Merl C. Grogan, 86 of Westminster, passed away on February 9, 2017. Memorial services will be held at 10:00 a.m. February 25 at Rundus Funeral Home with Steve Kalb of Calvary Church in Broomfield, officiating. Interment will be at a later date at Fort Logan National Cemetery.
Merl was born in Gladden, MO to Claud and Dorothy Grogan on May 23, 1930. He attended school in Salem, MO. He married Lillie, (deceased), on November 21, 1959 in Denver, CO. He worked in sales at H.W. Moore Equipment Company for 24 years. He moved to Phillipsburg PA for several years and worked for Reichdrill Inc. He retired and moved back to Colorado and sold real estate. He started his own company, Grogan Realty.
He was a veteran of the Korean War and served in the Air Force. He served on the Board of Trustees for Midwestern Baptist Theological Seminary for 10 years.
He is preceded in death by his father Claud, mother Dorothy, wife Lillie, brother Jerry, sister Dottie and brother Charles. He is survived by his children, Larry Grogan, Tom Grogan, (Patti), Laura Hanne, (Mark), and Charles Grogan. His grandchildren Joshua, George, Nathan, Travis, Tommy, Glenda, Cameron, Jessica and Ashleigh. He also had several great grandchildren.
