Obituary for Markeita Hedstrom

Markeita  Hedstrom
Markeita L. Hedstrom went to be with the Lord on January 7th, 2018 at the age 78.

Markeita is survived by her husband Jim Hedstrom, her daughter Connie Sanders (Bo) and son David Hedstrom (Sharon); grandchildren, Jesse Brazier, Bo Sanders, Nicole Hedstrom, and Corey Hedstrom; and three great-grandchildren, Colton, Autumn and Alex.

Jim and Markeita enjoyed 51 years of marriage doing everything together. They enjoyed skiing, golf, bridge, always improving their home, and spending time with friends and family. For 35 years, they worked and lived in Los Alamos, New Mexico. They later retired to Summit County, Colorado and most recently moved to Anthem Ranch in Broomfield Colorado.

For 30 years, Markeita was a dedicated elementary and middle school teacher. She was an extremely talented person, always fulfilling her time with artistic projects around her home and garden. She was an active member of the Rocky Mountain Bible Church in Frisco and the Good News Church in Broomfield. Over the years, she especially cherished her dogs Schnappsie, Danny, DJ, Sophie, Willy, and Wally.

A memorial service will be held to celebrate her life at the Broomfield Good News Community Church 5511 W 136th Avenue on Thursday January 11, 2018 at 2:00 pm.
