Obituary for Margaret Kenoyer

Margaret Josephine (Peg) McDermott was born in April 21, 1931 in Anselmo, Nebraska to Monica Marie (Moroney) McDermott and Joseph Carl McDermott. Peg was the eldest of six children born to the couple. She grew up in the Anselmo area and then attended St. Agnes Academy in Alliance, Nebraska where she earned her HS diploma in 1948. Peg then worked as a teacher in a country school while she started her college courses. It was during this time that she met Ed Kenoyer at a dance in Broken Bow, Nebraska. They were married November 26, 1949 at St. Anselm’s Catholic Church. The couple then made their home in Grand Island, Nebraska where they started their own family. Later, in 1963, Ed found a job in Colorado and relocated the family to the Westminster area. Peg and Ed had 5 daughters, which they were always very proud of. They enjoyed traveling, family gatherings, and their many close friends until Ed lost his battle with cancer in 2002. After Ed’s passing, family became even more important to Peg. She was always happiest surrounded by her girls, her grandchildren, and friends, and her dog. Peg will be missed by the entire family, but the memories shared will remain in our hearts forever.

Left to cherish Peg’s memory are four daughters; Deana, Kristie, Judy, and Peggy, along with ten grandchildren, ten great grandchildren, and three great-great grandchildren, as well as her five siblings, numerous other family members and many caring friends.

Preceding Peg in death are her loving husband Ed, and daughter Linda.
