Life Story for
Living a life of kindness and generosity, touched with warmth and humor, Audrey made everyone she knew feel special. This quality was a constant- from her days growing up in Detroit Lakes, Minnesota, marrying and starting a family - to to her adult years in Colorado where she developed her passion for glass blowing which led to the formation of B&B Glass Creations. She married her soulmate George, with whom she not only worked side by side for nearly 40 years but also shared an unconditional love. Family was most important to Audrey. Audrey cherished her beautiful relationship with her only child Mia, a bond that only grew stronger during times of hardship. With Mia she loved to travel the world and learned just how important living in the moment is.
Audrey is preceded in death by her parents Mavis and Walter Berger and her sister Janet. Her siblings Terry (and Kathy) Berger, Carol (and Jim) Menke, and Linda Berger will remember her humor and courage, qualities that were always a part of Audrey. Her beloved grandchildren, Ashley and Dylan, children of Mia and Chris Parke; Rowan and Morgan, daughters of Jake and Mandi Heiney; Greta, Henry, Teddy, Vivi, and her special angel Griffin, children of Josh and Sarah Heiney, will remember grandma’s love, the special interest she took in them, and her brownies! Her genuine personality and sense of humor built lifelong friendships. Audrey’s humility and faith continues to live on in the motto she lived by, “Blessed are those who give without remembering and receive without forgetting.”
