The Memorial Candle Program has been designed to help offset the costs associated with the hosting this Tribute Website in perpetuity. Through the lighting of a memorial candle, your thoughtful gesture will be recorded in the Book of Memories and the proceeds will go directly towards helping ensure that the family and friends of Joseph Wooten can continue to memorialize, re-visit, interact with each other and enhance this tribute for future generations.

Thank you.

Condolence From: Jean Thomson
Condolence: To Joe's Family -
He was the best manager I ever had at McDATA. He had the biggest heart. We kept in touch after Brocade and enjoyed a good latte at Starbucks every Saturday. Then the grandkids started coming and life got busy. A good guy that Joe! He will be missed by all! My prayers and thoughts to all of you. God Bless. Jeanie Thomson

Condolence: "Joe lives with us in memory and will for evermore." I first met Joe at McData many years before Spectra. He always found a way to make me laugh, tremendous personality. He was a true, real human being! He will be missed.

Condolence: I have also had the privilege of working with Joe. It will be a long time before my first instinct to 'call Joe' goes away whenever I need the real scoop on what's up in production. He was a straight shooter, yet always gracious under the intense pressure that is the nature of his job.

I'll miss you Joe! May you rest in peace.

Condolence: Joe was an amazing spirit. He was smart, articulate yet incredibly fun and cool. Probably one of the coolest people I will ever have the pleasure of knowing. We talked about work and life and of coarse talked about his terrific boys and how he loved hanging out while you worked on cars. We often met in town for a beer and he would always make me smile. His absence makes me sad, but his positivity will encourage me for a lifetime. JW was badass.

Condolence From: Perry Bergman
Condolence: My name is Perry Bergman. I work at Spectra in the Marketing Department... for about ten years now. I remember first working with Joe on some projects about 3 or 4 years ago. And more recently on some Spectra trade show libraries. I really liked Joe, because he was a laid back type of guy, and we had a similar sense of humor. It always seemed like nothing could rattle him... as if literally, he had seen it all and done it all. We had beers together a few times outside of work and he was enjoyable to hang out with. I wish I had talked to him more and learned more of his history. I am shocked and sad that he is now missing from us. I wish the best for his sons.
